Rok and D'Lynn

D'Lynn and Rok Hang Out At Salute to American Heroes Day

A Note From Rok…
I am a 4 1/2 year old chocolate lab and I love my job! I am currently in training as a human remains detection dog…yes…a cadaver dog. My Paycheck,  A tennis ball!

A note from D’Lynn…
Rok and I are part of an all volunteer Search and Rescue team, Travis County Search and Rescue. TCSAR is a first responder organization based in Austin, Texas and comprised of highly-trained professional volunteers dedicated to providing search & rescue services to law enforcement agencies in times of need. We offer ground search assets, K9 search teams (Wilderness Live Find), and Human Remains Detection (land and water), as well as Swiftwater and High Angle rope rescue aspects. All of our team members have day jobs, most not related to search and rescue work. This picture is from a PR event with TCSAR at Camp Mabry in Austin: Salute to American Heroes Day. Rok and I are doing a climbing demo of how we can harness a K9 to raise and/or lower them over/into something. In this picture, we were actually about 15 feet off the ground.
