Product description

This training harness effectively reduces pulling for most dogs through gentle redirection. Customers said it "works like magic" and made walks enjoyable. However, some noted fit issues including awkward positioning, leg restriction when dogs pull ahead, and the chest strap slipping or folding. A few dogs escaped or experienced chafing. Best results require active training.

  • First time walking there was no pulling. Now it's a pleasure to take him for walks.
  • Works like magic. My 60-pound hound dog that pulled hard incessantly is now controlled.
  • Finally a no-pull harness that really works and it's easy to put on and off!

I like it. My husband hates it. It makes for a very awkward walk. A regular front ring harness works better

Really nice harness. Much softer and more flexible than the ones I bought a few years ago but still super strong.

Bought it for my very active dachshund who pulls a lot. Fit is awkward. The leash goes behind his front paws often and need constant repositioning. The chest part slip from chest to belly even when tightly adjusted. When everything is in place, it works well.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the fit wasn't ideal for your active dachshund. You might find our traditional Roman style harness offers better control, security, and a more customizable fit with several adjustment points. We hope this helps!

No pull

I tried every harness on the market. Ruffwear, head straps, pinch collars, this company has the best products and they are reasonably priced. And l love how they look on my pup.

Best ever!!!

We had to use a prong collar to walk our German Shepard. Still would pull and not listen. His groomer, Animal Instincts in Middletown PA gave us one to try. First time walking there was no pulling. Now it's a pleasure to take him for walks.

Practical and Pretty!

Our Goldendoodle often gets excited during walks and jogs. Her previous harness would put too much pressure on her chest causing her to cough when she pulled. This harness system is fabulous and gorgeous! She no longer pulls during walks and this harness is gentle on her. In addition, it is really easy to put on. Sometimes Bailey is finicky with slipping her head through a harness, however this harness does not require you to slip it over her head.

FINALLY Nice Walks!!

Walking nicely on a leash has always been a struggle for Monty. We've done a lot of training in the yard and at a puppy class but once he's in a new place, he forgets his training and goes wild! I've been looking for a training tool to help (and save my arm!) and I've finally found it. Lupine Pet's No Pull Harness is easy to get on Monty and he doesn't put up any kind of fuss while wearing it. I like that it attaches to his collar - I feel very secure knowing that even if he somehow slips out of the harness (like he has with other brands), he is still attached to the leash by the collar. The harness provides gentle redirection if he pulls, taking the strain off his neck and bringing him back to my side. This product is a training tool - NOT replacement for training - but it helps a lot in getting his attention faster, redirecting his path, and redistributing his strength so that he's not pulling me down the sidewalk anymore. Thank you, Lupine Pet!

Works!

This works well for us. Helps keep him calm when he sees another dog. Other tools didn't work for us and he would forget all of his training when he saw another dog, pulling like crazy to go play. Well made and the same great Lupine warranty. Only thing I'd like to see is a little bit longer strap to go between legs and attach to collar. It's pretty snug for a big boy like me.

Works like expected, love it!

Purchased this to compare with my current front clip training harness, and it works even better! Plus it's less confusing for my fiance to put on! It also doesn't get tangled and flipped around. Very simple design. It's a lovely vibrant color (blaze orange) and stands out for outdoor adventure/cars/people to notice. I absolutely love it! It clips nice & easy to her collar & leash (I bought the matching set here) and helps her focus on me while working on her heel.

Thank You Lupine!

I love this harness. It works just as the video shows. My 30lb. Doxie/Pitbull walks right at my side. He stops when I stop, turns where I turn. Even when we encounter at rabbit or a squirrel i can still maintain control. He also does not try to chew this one off as he had done sucessfuly with 4 previous harnesses.

awesome harness

I have a 1 1/2 year old very active boxer and he will drag me with every bit of strength he has! Our first walk with the no pull harness was the best walk I have had with him since was little! He no longer can drag me like he used too!

Corrective Walking

We have an 80lb pit - who pulls very badly when walking & a 7 month old husky mix who has more energy then the sun. This leash works WONDERS for both of our dogs & it does not rub there bodies like a normal harness would! LOVE LOVE LOVE

It works

Very effective. Like everything else Lupine makes, very high quality craftsmanship. Immediately redirects my dog towards me, I've noticed an almost instant reduction in pulling by following the included instructions.

Wished I used this 1st

Our dog is part shephard, part golden retriever, very high energy and refuses her alpha position ;) Walking her was a chore, we opted to use a 'training collar' and this would help greatly, but would irritate her neck, we tried another type of harness, but it didn't help, I opted to give this a try...MAGIC...she walks so well, lots of slack on the leash and walks right by my side (prior she refused to give up the lead position). Just wished I found this when she was a puppy. TY!

good training tool

As a training tool , I think this is a great product. I have found that the loop around the body continuesly folds. it doesn't lay flat. Which probably annoys me more then the dog.

Well made.

I bought this anticipating training our new puppy. Our older dogs don't need it. I have checked it out and it is strong and looks like it will do the job. When I looked into other products online, they were more expensive and not nearly as efficient. Thanks Lupine!

Works like magic, well made

I decided to try the No-Pull Harness for a recently adopted 60-pound hound dog that pulled hard incessantly. The harness works like magic. It is designed to enable the dog walker to communicate more effectively with a pulling dog by giving a short tug that turns the dog

It works!

Finally a no-pull harness that really works and it's easy to put on and off! I've tried many different types of leads and harnesses and haven't had any work for me with my beagle Until I tried this one.

Very, very happy with this harness. Was using easy walker harness for my standard poodle. Despite proper fit and comfort adjustments, she would reach down and try to chew through the harness, and sometimes with success. This harness does not seem to bother her and therefore she is not attempting to chew through it. My goldendoodle also seems very comfortable in this harness. Both dogs can be controlled very well with this simple design. Extremely pleased. Thank you very much!

A Failure for my Dog

I wrote a review which didn't get published, so am trying one more time! This harness is being sent back to Lupine. My dog never stops pulling with it (55 lb Golden Retriever), and she now has a sore on her shoulder where the metal piece digs in. I was really hopeful this would work; I guess I'll try a Head Halter.

Good for pulling

This harness works great if you are trying to work on training your dog to not pull you forward! Unfortunately my puppy also likes to pick up gross things on the side of the road on our daily walks. When you pull on the leash it sort of pulls their head down and back toward you, this is great for training your pup to not pull you forward, but it also puts my dog in prime position to pick up litter on the sidewalk! I will definitely start using this harness once I've gotten her to stop eating things off the side of the road! This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, but it is great for its intended purpose!

BEST Training Harness I've Used!

I've tried several styles of training harnesses. Neither of my dogs tolerate a head harness, but (good news) that's totally okay, because this works like a charm! My terrier is a stubborn puller. He hated his similar style harness that had a martingale type contraption across the front of his chest so much that he'd run from me when it was time for walks. The simplicity of this design works great and is easy to get on and off. He is finally learning that walk time is fun, and he doesn't pull on me AT ALL! My shepherd mix is relatively docile until we see another dog, and this harness works perfectly to control her as well. I'm 5'4" and 50 yo; I don't know that I could confidently walk both of our dogs together without these harnesses, as they're not perfect angels in all situations. This gives me the assurance I need that I'll be able to control both dogs if a situation arises that's beyond my control. Note that if your dog gets too far ahead of you, their leg movement WILL be restricted and it will appear as if they are limping. Just re-direct them back to walk more closely to you, and everyone will enjoy your walk (including you!).

Works as Described when used as described

I've used this with phenomenal success with both of my dogs. One is a terrier and a stubborn puller; the other is a shepherd mix and docile unless we encounter another dog on our walk. This harness helps me control both dogs for both situations. If the dog gets too far ahead of you, it WILL restrict their movement on one side and make it appear as if they are limping. Just pull them back so they walk beside you and this will be corrected. I've tried other forms of training harnesses like this and none have worked as well. My terrier hated one brand so much he would run from me when I picked it up! This is simple to put on, non-restrictive to the dog provided they stay with you (which is the point, right?) and works like a charm!

So far so good!

OK, I just got my order so this could change but I just finished the first walk with this product and noticed an amazing difference with both dogs! The older one didn't attempt to pull at all. The 10 month old did try occasionally but was unable to. What was best was that she was way more attentive to me than usual and I saw better behavior from her in general throughout the walk!
Just a note, I can totally see why they suggest a 2' or 4' leash with this. I use a 6' leash and had to pull about 3 feet into my hand for it to work right. I'll probably be buying a shorter leash in the future.

Works great!

My dog hated the gentle leader so I was really pleased with how the Lupine No-pull harness worked. It is a training tool and when used consistently, gently and effectively corrects my dog. Walking on a leash is much more enjoyable now!

Works on dogs that refuse to go for walks

My black lab refused to go for walks. She would refuse to move and when I tried to pull her she would pull herself off her collar. With the no pull harness I give her a tug and she can not prevent me from going forward. She also can not get off her collar. We have great walks now. An added bonus is that she does not pull me anymore. The pain in my elbow is going away.

did not work with my dogs

I love Lupine products but this was a bust with both of my Standard Poodles, one pulled himself out of it and the other just continued to pull as if the harness did not exist.

It's ok!

It really didn't work for me and my pup! I think it gave both of us more anxious than anything!
